Two arrests follow public disturbances in Miami-Dade, Florida

Police in Miami-Dade County detained a 40‑year‑old man after he urinated on the south side of a Wells Fargo bank in Doral and then fled into traffic, resisting arrest. Officer Alex Rodriguez was confronted, leading to a struggle on a roadway where the suspect grabbed at the officer’s gun arm before being subdued and taken to a correctional center.

In a separate incident, former NFL wide receiver Demetrius Byrd was arrested after he pulled a multi‑tool knife on a passenger during an altercation on a Miami‑Beach bus. Officers intervened, and a judge set his bail at $5,000 while noting an outstanding warrant related to a domestic‑violence case.
