Two brothers detained for fatal beating of security guard in Sangineto

Two brothers, Domenico and Umberto Orsino, have been detained by authorities in connection with the fatal beating of 34-year-old Antonio Perrotta in Sangineto, Cosenza. The incident occurred during the night between August 8 and 9 outside the Il Castello nightclub.

Investigators from the Paola Prosecutor's Office suggest the altercation began inside the club when the brothers allegedly attempted to enter without paying for tickets. Perrotta, who was working as a security guard, reportedly intervened, leading to a confrontation that moved outside the venue. Surveillance footage and blood traces found on the brothers' clothing are central to the prosecution's case.

Domenico Orsino, 22, is a professional rugby player for the Luxembourg national team, while 24-year-old Umberto Orsino works as a physiotherapist. Both brothers reside in Luxembourg and were in the region to visit family and friends. Their defense attorney stated that the brothers are deeply distressed by the events and intend to return to Luxembourg once the legal proceedings have clarified the situation.
