Two businesses closed in Francisco Beltrão after fire‑safety inspection

An integrated urban inspection (AIFU) was carried out in Francisco Beltrão, Brazil, over the weekend. The operation, coordinated by the 21st Military Police Battalion and supported by the Civil Police, Fire Department, Sanitary Surveillance and the Tutelary Council, examined three commercial venues that see high foot traffic, especially of minors.

Two of the locations were ordered to shut down because they failed to meet fire‑safety requirements set by the Corps of Firefighters; the third premises was already closed when authorities arrived. Adolescents found on the premises will be referred to the Public Ministry for appropriate action. The Sanitary Surveillance agency reported no violations under its jurisdiction. The municipal government emphasized that such operations aim to enforce legislation, protect children and adolescents, and ensure public safety.

The police lieutenant Eliziane Torres Matte said, "A operação AIFU contou com a participação da Polícia Militar, Polícia Civil, Corpo de Bombeiros, Vigilância Sanitária e Conselho Tutelar." The director of the Sanitary Surveillance department, Dalva Colling, added that the inspection found no sanitary irregularities.
