Two children die in separate park drowning incidents
Two separate incidents involving child drownings in park water bodies were reported on Friday.
In Tel Aviv, a seven-year-old boy died after entering a lake at Park Darom. Following an urgent search by emergency personnel and the Israel Fire and Rescue Service, the child was located unconscious. Despite resuscitation efforts by Magen David Adom personnel and transport to Ichilov Hospital, he was pronounced dead.
In Acton, a one-year-old boy died after being pulled from the water at NARA Park. Authorities stated the child entered an area not designated for swimming, where the water is approximately 12 to 15 feet deep with slippery rocks. The child's 75-year-old grandmother was critically injured while attempting to rescue him. The toddler was airlifted to a Boston hospital, where he later passed away.
