Two children injured in jet ski crash in Dunaharaszt, Hungary

On Monday evening at a closed water‑sports centre in Dunaharaszt, Hungary, a five‑year‑old boy collided with his ten‑year‑old brother while each was operating a separate jet ski. The younger child sustained a severe head injury that required emergency neurosurgery and intensive‑care treatment, while the older sibling escaped serious harm.

The incident occurred while the boys' father and a third jet ski were nearby. Police opened a child‑endangerment investigation, noting that Hungarian law prohibits anyone under 18 from operating a jet ski alone and requires a special licence.
