Two dead and one survivor after car plunge in Goiás, Brazil

A three‑person family traveling from Tocantins to Formosa vanished on June 4. Their Fiat Uno was later found in a steep ribanceira between Teresina de Goiás and Alto Paraíso de Goiás. The 77‑year‑old father died instantly, and the 42‑year‑old female passenger survived for about a day before succumbing to her injuries. The 48‑year‑old driver remained conscious, drinking water while waiting for help, and was rescued by the Goiás fire department after roughly 72 hours.
