Two dead in fatal van collision on Sicily’s SP4 near Enna

Two vans collided head‑on on the Strada Provinciale 4 (SP4) heading toward Dittaino in the Enna province of Sicily. The impact was violent, killing a woman and a man and injuring several other occupants.

Firefighters from the Piazza Armerina station, Carabinieri and emergency medical crews rescued the trapped victims, extracted them from the vehicle wreckage and transported the injured to Umberto I Hospital in Enna. The road was temporarily closed for rescue operations and investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
