Two dead in Ho Chi Minh City hotel fire

A fire at the Thuy Duong Hotel on Tan Ky Tan Quy Street in Ho Chi Minh City resulted in two deaths and left several people trapped. The incident occurred around 5:00 AM on September 7 in the Tan Son Nhi Ward.

Authorities reported that the hotel, which consists of a ground floor, a mezzanine, four floors, and a rooftop, contains 19 rooms. Firefighting units deployed seven fire engines and 48 personnel to the scene. While the fire burned an area of approximately 12 square meters, emergency responders successfully rescued 26 people from the building. Seven of those rescued were taken to the hospital for health checks but are reported to be in stable condition.

Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring residential buildings. The Ho Chi Minh City Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire and have cordoned off the area for examination.
