Two Drownings on French Beaches Leave One Dead and One Critical on July 28

A 79‑year‑old man died after drowning on a beach facing the Finocchiarola islands in the commune of Rogliano, Corsica. The Haute‑Corse fire and rescue service (SIS 2B) declared him deceased despite immediate intervention.

On the same day, a man aged about 75 was rescued from the Moure Rouge beach in Cannes after entering a cardiac‑respiratory arrest. Firefighters revived him and he was hospitalized in serious condition at the Cannes medical centre.
