Two drug dealers jailed after police trap car in Rugby, England
Detectives in Rugby, England, observed a Nissan Qashqai parked on Deepmore Road on 4 March and watched a man approach the vehicle for a drug deal. The vehicle's driver, 33‑year‑old Ardian Beqiri, and passenger, 35‑year‑old Kadri Kaja, were blocked by police and arrested.
In Beqiri’s phone police found messages directing him to suspected drug‑sale locations. Officers recovered eight bags of cocaine from Kaja’s pockets, and a search of their home uncovered a 20‑gram lump of cocaine, twelve additional deal bags, a bag of cannabis, digital scales and a “tick list” used to track debts. On 24 June, Beqiri was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for supplying cocaine, and Kaja received a three‑year term for possession with intent to supply. DC Rapkins said, "Kaja and Beqiri were spotted making sales on a street in Rugby – they had no idea we were there until we trapped their car."
