Two face fraud charges in Tywardreath
Josh Taylor, 36, and Trudy Thompson, 55, are facing multiple fraud charges related to their former business operations in Tywardreath.
Taylor is accused of committing fraud by false representation to obtain £33,200 from Par Bay Big Local, under the claim that the funds would support a bike hire business and entrepreneurial training.
Thompson faces allegations of misleading Tywardreath villagers by claiming she intended to donate £1 million of her personal assets to the Tywardreath Village Scheme. Additionally, she is accused of making false claims regarding a trust fund and property ownership in Guildford to secure a loan, an action allegedly intended to put another woman at risk of losing £20,000.
The pair are scheduled to stand trial at Truro Crown Court on September 7, with the hearing expected to last several weeks.
