Two fatal accidents in France claim a motorcyclist and a ULM pilot
A 54‑year‑old motorcyclist died after a head‑on collision with a car on the RD520 near Montrevel in Isère on the evening of 30 July. The rider was thrown from his bike and could not be revived, while the 39‑year‑old driver of the Suzuki Swift and her 11‑year‑old son suffered minor injuries.
On 29 July, a man in his sixties who was piloting a microlight aircraft at the Montélimar‑Ançon aerodrome in Drôme crashed shortly after take‑off. The aircraft fell roughly 100 metres, killing the pilot despite the intervention of fire crews and an ongoing investigation by aviation authorities.
