Two Fatal Medical Emergencies Claim Lives in Italy

A 19‑year‑old agricultural worker died after a sudden illness while harvesting tomatoes in Stagno Lombardo, Cremona province. Emergency services, including a helicopter, attempted resuscitation and transferred him to Cremona's Maggiore Hospital, but he was pronounced dead that evening. Carabinieri and labor inspectors are investigating the circumstances and working conditions.

Separately, a 59‑year‑old man suffered a fatal malore while riding a Vespa in Occhieppo Superiore near Biella. The vehicle left the road and the man could not be revived despite rapid response by Carabinieri and 118 medical personnel. Police investigations are underway to determine the cause of the medical event.
