Two fatal motorcycle accidents reported in Friuli

Two separate fatal motorcycle accidents occurred in the Friuli region over the weekend, resulting in two deaths.

On Saturday evening, September 26, 26-year-old Riccardo Brescia died in Fiumicello Villa Vicentina. While traveling on Provincial Road 68 in the San Lorenzo area, he lost control of his motorcycle and went off the road into a wooded area. Emergency responders faced difficulties locating him due to the terrain, and despite resuscitation attempts, he could not be saved. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

On Sunday afternoon, September 27, a second fatal incident took place in Sappada on State Road 355. A 48-year-old woman, Laura Doraponti, died after her motorcycle collided with a car. The impact caused her to be thrown from the vehicle. Her partner, the motorcycle driver, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital via helicopter.
