Two fatal shootings reported in São Paulo state, Brazil

A 30‑year‑old man, Rodrigo César Coelho, was shot dead on 11 June after a violent family dispute in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo. According to police, his brother‑in‑law, a 36‑year‑old merchant, fired a single shot when Coelho returned to the family shop armed with a machete, killing him in the street.

On 13 October, a 41‑year‑old man was fatally wounded by gunfire on Avenida Gisele Constantino in Votorantim, São Paulo. Police opened an investigation, noting the motive was unclear and the incident may be linked to personal or local disputes. Both cases are being examined by the state's Civil Police and the Military Police.
