Malaysia fatal accidents: Woman killed in Cheras, teacher and child die in Rompin

Multiple fatal traffic accidents have been reported in Malaysia. In Bandar Mahkota Cheras, a 47-year-old woman died after being struck by a falling iron pole. The incident occurred when a 35-year-old driver accidentally pressed the accelerator, causing his vehicle to crash into a food court dining area. As the driver attempted to maneuver out of the area, the car struck a pole that collapsed onto the victim, who had reportedly run toward the vehicle to stop it.

In a separate incident in Rompin, a teacher and her 6-year-old son were killed when their MPV veered into a ravine. The vehicle, traveling from Seremban toward Felda Keratong, reportedly struck a piece of wood on the road surface, causing the driver to lose control. The driver, the husband of the deceased, sustained head injuries and was treated at Muadzam Shah Hospital. Both accidents are being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
