Two footballers die in Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca highway collision
Two amateur footballers, Ignacio Moreno (known as “Nacho Porte”) and Carlos Ramírez, died early Monday morning following a severe vehicle collision on the Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca highway. The accident occurred near kilometer 1 in the municipality of Palmar de Bravo.
Authorities report that a private blue car carrying the two men collided with a platform trailer transporting merchandise. The impact was so intense that the compact vehicle was destroyed, trapping both men inside and causing their immediate deaths.
A 21-year-old woman traveling in the vehicle survived the crash but sustained extremely serious injuries. She was transported to a private clinic in Tehuacán, where she remains in delicate condition. The National Guard and forensic experts have cordoned off the area to conduct investigations and coordinate the recovery of the bodies.
