Two foreign nationals arrested after knife attack at Monza train station

On Monday 29 June, a fight broke out near the Monza train station in Lombardy. A 20‑year‑old Tunisian man and a 30‑year‑old man from Burkina Faso argued on Corso Milano, escalated when the younger man hurled a large stone and then drew a knife from his pocket. He struck the older man in the head and later stabbed him near the ear. The victim disarmed the assailant and used the same knife to inflict multiple wounds on the attacker’s back.

Both men were severely injured, received emergency care at San Gerardo Hospital and were taken into custody. Police charged them with aggravated attempted homicide.
