Two foreign tourists found dead in Antalya, Turkey

A 70‑year‑old Greek tourist, Pavlos Skylitzis, was discovered deceased in his hotel room in Antalya’s Muratpaşa district on 24 June. Police and emergency services found no signs of assault or weapon injury; investigators noted breathing difficulties as a possible factor and the body was taken for autopsy.

Separately, a 44‑year‑old Polish tourist, identified only as G. K., went missing after leaving his hotel in Kemer on 17 June. After six days of searches, Jandarma forces located his body in a forested area near Göynük. Early examinations concluded the death was a suicide, and the case remains under criminal investigation.

Both incidents involve foreign visitors and have prompted Turkish authorities to review safety and monitoring procedures for tourists in the region.
