Two friends found dead after vehicle plunged into river valley in Kastamonu, Turkey

Two young men, Cihan Taş and İsmail Ersoy, went missing on a noon visit to a relative's house in Boztepe Mahallesi, Taşköprü district of Kastamonu, Turkey. After their families could not reach them, locals began a search and discovered the Fiat light‑commercial vehicle (plates 37 ACD 895) had rolled roughly 75 metres down a river valley.

Emergency responders—including AFAD, Jandarma Search and Rescue, fire and medical crews—worked for about two hours to extract the bodies from the vehicle. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Their relatives were reported to be in shock, and an official investigation into the accident has been opened.
