Two German road accidents on B311 and A1 leave drivers injured
On a Monday evening around 18:00, a 68‑year‑old driver in a VW Golf entered the opposite lane on the B311 near Unlingen, colliding with a BMW and then a Mazda. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and the road was closed for nearly three hours while the damage, estimated at €20,000, was cleared.
A separate incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the A1 near Eppelborn. A motorhome left its lane at a single‑lane construction site, struck a crash absorber and a mobile concrete barrier, and the driver was injured. The highway was temporarily shut down, causing a brief traffic jam and a near‑miss rear‑end collision. Police are investigating after a similar crash happened only a few days earlier about 200 m away.
