Gun murders reported in Belo Horizonte, Pará, Paraná and Amazonas, Brazil

A 23‑year‑old man was shot dead outside a tobacco shop in Sarandi, Paraná after a dispute inside the establishment. In Miritituba, Pará, 19‑year‑old Daniel Henrique Lima Campos was killed by gunfire in front of his home; police arrested one suspect and are searching for a second alleged shooter known as “Índio.”

In Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Elvaldo Lopes, a young man from Ouricuri, Pernambuco, was murdered; authorities have not yet identified his family, raising concerns he could be buried without relatives present. A separate homicide occurred in the Amazon region near Itacoatiara, where an unidentified man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in an abandoned forest area.

In Belém, Pará, community counselor Sandro Amaral was shot several times while watching a football match in his neighborhood; two suspects on a motorcycle opened fire, and the victim died inside his bathroom. All incidents are under investigation by local police forces.
