Two injured in truck collision on Spain's A‑66 near Monesterio

A collision between two trucks occurred at kilometre 728 on the A‑66 highway near the municipality of Monesterio, Spain, on Thursday night. Emergency services were alerted at 23:30 and responded to the scene. A 31‑year‑old man suffered serious injuries, while a 55‑year‑old man received minor injuries. Both victims were treated on site and later transferred to the Hospital of Llerena for further care.

The accident forced the closure of the A‑66 between kilometres 722 and 730 in the Sevilla‑bound direction, with traffic diverted to the N‑630. Units from the Emergency Military Unit, local health centre, civil guard, fire brigade and road‑maintenance teams were deployed to secure the area and clear the wreckage.
