A3 motorway accident kills father and son in Lamborghini crash

A high-speed collision on the A3 motorway near Paris resulted in the deaths of a father and son on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The incident occurred between Romainville and Montreuil in the Seine-Saint-Denis department.

The collision involved a green Lamborghini Aventador and a Volkswagen. According to the Bobigny Prosecutor's Office, the Lamborghini was traveling at speeds “above” the legal limit, reportedly exceeding 220 km/h. The impact caused the Lamborghini to strike a safety barrier, where it was split in two and engulfed in flames. The two occupants of the Lamborghini, born in 1963 and 1999, died at the scene.

Four occupants of the Volkswagen were injured in the crash and transported to the hospital; their lives are not considered to be in immediate danger. An off-duty police officer and the Paris Fire Brigade attempted to assist, but the intensity of the fire prevented the rescue of the Lamborghini's passengers. An investigation has been opened by the Bobigny Prosecutor's Office and the highway police to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
