Two killed in motorcycle accident on A14 highway near Riccione

A fatal motorcycle accident on the A14 highway near Riccione has claimed the lives of two individuals. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 23, shortly after 11:30 AM, during a period of heavy traffic.

The victims have been identified as 66-year-old Antonella Doneda, a well-known pharmacist from Pedrengo, and her 75-year-old partner. The pair were traveling north on a large-capacity BMW GS motorcycle, returning from a vacation in Central Italy.

Authorities report that the collision involved the motorcycle and a Hyundai vehicle in the third lane, approximately one kilometer from the Montefeltro service area between the Riccione and Riccione Sud exits. The 75-year-old man died at the scene. Although medical teams attempted to stabilize Dr. Doneda and transported her via helicopter to the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, she later passed away from her injuries.
