Marcianise stabbing: Two men arrested for attempted murder of 13-year-old

Two men, aged 20 and 34, have been arrested on charges of attempted murder following the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in Marcianise, Italy. The incident occurred on October 17 in the parking lot of the Centro Commerciale Campania.

Investigators believe the violence stemmed from a dispute between two minors, aged between 11 and 14, over trivial matters. The situation escalated when two adults intervened to support one of the minors, resulting in the 13-year-old being stabbed in the chest.

The suspects, identified as Salvatore Zambella and Alessandro Maugeri, are reportedly linked to the Angelino criminal clan of Caivano. Zambella is the son of Raffaele Zambella, a leader of the clan, while Maugeri is Zambella's brother-in-law. Both men have been transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.

The victim was treated at Frattamaggiore hospital before undergoing emergency surgery at the Santobono Pediatric Hospital in Naples. He remains in critical condition under reserved prognosis.
