Two men arrested for transporting clobenzorex hidden among flowers on Mérida‑Campeche highway
Federal authorities in Mexico detained two suspects, identified as Carlos N and Andrés N, after a federal police operation on the Mérida‑Campeche highway near the town of Kopomá. Inside a cargo vehicle carrying rolls of natural flowers, investigators found 180 green capsules of the psychotropic drug clobenzorex, packaged in 17 blisters.
The Federal Attorney’s Office (FGR) presented sufficient evidence to a specialized control judge, who ordered preventive detention for both men and set a four‑month period for further investigation. In addition to the capsules, the police seized the chassis‑type vehicle, two mobile phones and cash. The suspects remain presumed innocent until a final judicial ruling is issued.
