Two men convicted for arson targeting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's home and car

A London court found 22‑year‑old Roman Ławrynowycz, a Ukrainian national, and 27‑year‑old Stanislav Carpiuc, a Romanian, guilty of setting fire to a vehicle that belonged to Prime Minister Keir Starmer and to two houses, one occupied by the premier’s sister‑in‑law, in May 2023. Prosecutors said the pair were recruited by a Russian‑language Telegram user known as “El Money,” who offered payment in cryptocurrency for the attacks. Police confirmed no one was injured. The Central Criminal Court will announce sentencing on Friday, and the men remain in custody pending the decision.
