Two men die in fatal house fire in Progar, Surčin

A fatal house fire in the Progar settlement of Surčin resulted in the deaths of an 80-year-old man and his 60-year-old son. The incident occurred on a Friday around 19:30 in a residence located on Partizanskih baza Street.

Neighbors reported seeing thick smoke emanating from the ground floor of the house. Although firefighters arrived quickly and managed to contain the blaze to prevent it from consuming the entire structure, medical teams confirmed that both men had died at the scene. Other family members, including the grandchildren of the elderly man and his other son, also reside in the house, which features two separate entrances.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. An autopsy will be conducted to establish the official cause of death for both victims.
