Two men jailed in UK for sexual offences and voyeurism

Two separate cases in the United Kingdom have resulted in prison sentences for men involved in sexual assaults and voyeurism involving hidden cameras.

In one case, John Curtis, 41, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison after admitting to 33 sexual offences. These included rape, attempted rape, and sexual assault against a teenager. Curtis also installed a secret camera in a private bathroom to record unsuspecting female victims. Authorities recovered over 15,000 indecent images from his possession, including footage of a baby filmed elsewhere in the world.

In a separate incident, Gaven Clarke, 41, was sentenced to three years and eight months at Norwich Crown Court. Clarke admitted to voyeurism and the making and taking of indecent images of children. His actions, which occurred between 2020 and 2025, were discovered after a young girl found a mobile phone hidden behind toiletries in a bathroom. Forensic examinations of his devices revealed footage of multiple victims who were unaware they were being recorded.
