Two men killed in head-on collision in Asola

A head-on collision on Provincial Road 2 in Asola, in the province of Mantua, resulted in the deaths of two men, aged 48 and 57. Both victims were residents of Casalromano.

The impact was severe enough to render medical interventions ineffective. One of the vehicles ended up in a nearby field. While investigations are ongoing, preliminary reports from witnesses suggest that one vehicle may have crossed into the opposite lane during an overtaking maneuver.

Emergency responders, including ambulances, medical teams, and an air ambulance, attended the scene. The road was closed for several hours to allow for rescue operations and accident reconstruction by the Carabinieri and State Police.
