Two men killed in shooting near Monterrey and San Pedro

Two men were killed in an armed attack on the ramp connecting Gómez Morín Avenue with Morones Prieto Avenue, at the border of Monterrey and San Pedro Garza García in Nuevo León.

Authorities report that the victims, identified by unofficial reports as Juan Carlos Serroque Roble and José Manuel Martínez Macías, were traveling in a vehicle when they were targeted. Preliminary investigations by the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office suggest the victims were being followed by aggressors through the municipality of Monterrey.

Attorney General Javier Flores Saldívar confirmed that one of the deceased had served as a police officer in San Pedro in 2006. Investigators are currently analyzing evidence found at the scene, including shell casings and mobile phones. Because the specific site of the attack lacked direct surveillance from the C4 or C5 systems, officials are reviewing footage from surrounding areas to identify the vehicle used by the attackers.
