Two men sentenced for £12,000 Ann Summers burglary

Two men have been sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court following a burglary at an Ann Summers store in Nottingham city centre. Jason Kamal, 48, received a three-year prison sentence for his involvement in the August 14 raid and a previous burglary at a mobile phone store in Arnold.

During the Ann Summers robbery, the suspects smashed a window to enter the Long Row location in the early hours of the morning. Police arrived within three minutes of the initial call and apprehended the men as they attempted to flee. Officers recovered £12,059 worth of lingerie and sex toys from the boot of a vehicle belonging to 21-year-old Ashley Hillsley.

Hillsley received a community order for the Ann Summers theft. He claimed he was bullied into participating and acted primarily as a lookout. Kamal was also linked to a July burglary at Professional Mobile, where he allegedly left a vape containing his DNA at the scene.
