Two missing Argentine teens rescued after weeks of searches in Chaco and San Juan

In Chaco province, 23‑year‑old Jonathan Alberto Blanco, who had been missing since May 30, was located alive on Thursday near the Puerto Tirol landfill after police drones detected movement. He was found wearing the same clothing he disappeared in, with superficial abrasions, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police chief Fernando Romero said, “Está con vida. Eso es lo importante.”

In San Juan province, 17‑year‑old Juan José Guzmán, missing since Friday morning, was found early Saturday in good health. The search was conducted by police and volunteers under the “San Juan te busca” program. His family thanked responders, saying, “Gracias a todos… me devolvió sano y salvo.”
