Delhi ITO accident injures two MLAs and four others

A road accident at the ITO traffic signal in Delhi left six people injured on Sunday night after a car crashed through a divider and collided with an SUV. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM near the PWD office in front of the old Police Headquarters.

According to Delhi Police, a Swift car driven by 32-year-old Ashutosh Pandey lost control while traveling from Laxmi Nagar towards ITO. The vehicle struck the road divider, crossed the railing, and entered the opposite lane, where it had a head-on collision with an Innova SUV. Pandey was traveling with his wife and two minor children.

The SUV was carrying Anil Jha, the MLA for Kirari, and Abhay Patil, an MLA from Karnataka. All six individuals involved sustained minor injuries and were transported to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition. The Fire Brigade assisted in removing the damaged vehicles to restore traffic flow.
