Two Paraguayans arrested with weapon parts hidden in perfumes

Two Paraguayan nationals were arrested in Foz do Iguaçu after Brazilian authorities discovered weapon parts hidden among perfumes. The seizure occurred during a routine inspection of an international bus crossing the Friendship Bridge from Paraguay into Brazil.

Federal Revenue agents initially detained a woman traveling with a baby and a man due to suspicions of perfume smuggling. During the inspection, officials found weapon components wrapped in bubble wrap concealed within the perfume packaging. The two suspects, who are brothers-in-law, stated they were being paid R$ 150 and R$ 350, respectively, to transport the goods into Brazilian territory.

The individuals were taken into custody by the Federal Police with assistance from the National Force and remain at the disposal of the justice system.
