Two people airlifted to hospital after accidents in Hunter region

Two separate accidents in the Hunter region required emergency helicopter evacuations over the weekend of September 12-13.

A teenage girl was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after a motorcycle accident occurred on a property north of Scone on Sunday morning. She received treatment from paramedics and a critical care team before being flown to the hospital.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a man in his 40s sustained serious chest and shoulder injuries after crashing a mountain bike in Yengo National Park. He was located near the Heartbreak Hill campground and was extracted via stretcher winch by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter before being transported to John Hunter Hospital.
