Two Police Corporals Die in Separate Incidents in Paraná, Brazil
Cabo Fred William Pereira Franzão, a 43‑year‑old member of the 10th Battalion of the Paraná Military Police, died of a heart attack on 3 May while at the battalion in Apucarana. He was taken to Hospital da Providência but did not survive, prompting condolences from colleagues and the police command.
Cabo Kauã Gabriel Darodda Magioni was killed on 31 May during a police operation in a rural property in Arapuã, northern Paraná. While attempting to approach a suspect who opened fire, Magioni was hit in the face. The suspect was also shot and later died. Both deaths sparked mourning among fellow officers and families.
