Portland pygmy goats briefly board TriMet bus during morning commute

Two pygmy goats, named “Billy the Kid” and “Billy the Goat,” gained viral attention after boarding a TriMet bus during the Tuesday morning rush hour in Portland, Oregon. Security footage captured the animals following passengers onto an FX2-Division bus near Southeast 162nd Avenue and Division Street.

The bus operator, Abdellah L., noticed the uninvited guests and reopened the doors, allowing passengers to help usher the goats back onto the sidewalk. Following the incident, the goats wandered toward a nearby shopping center.

The animals have since been safely reunited with their owner, Lrae Anderson, who lives near the bus stop. Anderson noted that the goats escaped after a gate to their enclosure was left unsecured. He has since repaired the fencing to prevent further escapes.
