Two pygmy goats board TriMet bus in Portland
Two pygmy goats, named Billy the Kid and Billy the Goat, escaped from an enclosure and boarded a TriMet bus heading toward downtown Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred on a Tuesday morning when the animals ventured across a busy street and entered a lime green FX2-Division bus.
Security camera footage captured the event, showing passengers reacting to the animals before they were shooed off the vehicle. The bus driver noted that the goats did not have valid passes. The goats belong to Lrae Anderson, a local resident who lives less than two blocks from the bus stop. Anderson stated that the escape happened because his children occasionally forgot to close the enclosure gate. A neighbor returned the goats to their home the same day, and Anderson has since improved the fencing and installed a lock.
