Two River Drownings in Brazil Claim Lives of Young Man and Boat Pilot

Guiomar Gimenes, a 61‑year‑old boat pilot, vanished on the Rio Tietê near Promissão, São Paulo, on 31 March. His body was recovered by a fisherman on 2 April. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of his death, which occurred under adverse weather conditions.
