Two separate German road collisions cause injuries and extensive vehicle damage

On the B56 near Geilenkirchen, two cars collided at about 08:43 on a Monday morning. No one was injured, but both vehicles suffered severe damage and had to be towed. Police diverted traffic around the accident site and issued fines to drivers who attempted to turn around before the roundabout, clearing the road by 10:00.

Later, a frontal collision on a rural road in the Kusel district left two male drivers, aged 55 and 70, seriously injured and taken to hospitals. Police have not determined the cause of the crash and are seeking witnesses. Both incidents are under investigation by local authorities.
