Two separate road collisions in Germany injure drivers and cause vehicle damage

A head‑on collision on the L1027 near Bad Tabarz in Thuringia involved a 37‑year‑old driver of a Skoda and a 73‑year‑old driver of a VW. Both drivers were lightly injured; the woman was taken to hospital. The vehicles were totaled and the damage was estimated at around €40,000, with temporary traffic disruptions.

In a separate incident on the B 105 near Kummerow in Mecklenburg‑Vorpommern, a 36‑year‑old driver of a BMW crossed into oncoming traffic and ended up in a ditch. The driver, his 35‑year‑old passenger and a five‑week‑old baby were taken to hospital with non‑serious injuries. Vehicle damage was estimated at about €25,000 and the road was partially closed for recovery work.
