Two separate vehicle accidents injure a woman in San Martín de Los Andes and a driver in Rosario, Argentina

On Monday, a woman in San Martín de Los Andes was injured after a Volkswagen T‑Cross reversed and struck her against a gate, trapping her legs. Emergency services, including Neuquén police, traffic officials, volunteer firefighters and the Integrated Emergency System, provided on‑site care before she was taken to Hospital Dr. Ramón Carrillo for further evaluation.

Later the same morning in Rosario, a young driver of a Volkswagen Fox fell asleep at the wheel on Avenida Pellegrini and collided with a parked Toyota Corolla. The impact damaged the front of the Fox, but the driver only suffered a mild concussion and was treated on site by the Integrated Emergency Health System, with the airbag deployment preventing more serious injuries. Police plan to administer alcohol and drug tests.

Both incidents highlight the dangers of driver distraction and fatigue, prompting local authorities to investigate the precise causes and reinforce road safety measures.
