Two serious car crashes in Germany on July 3 injure drivers and cause extensive damage

On July 3, 2026, a car accident near Heideck in the Roth district saw an Audi leave the Stuttgart‑Heidenheim road, roll onto its roof in a field and leave two occupants with serious injuries. Police said the victims are not in life‑threatening condition but suspect the driver may have been under the influence, ordering a blood test.

Later that day in Heidelberg’s Neuenheim district, an Aston Martin collided with a fence and then a house wall. The driver escaped unharmed, but the property damage is estimated at a minimum of €75,000. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
