Two severe motorcycle crashes in Brazil leave one dead and another amputated

A 21‑year‑old motorcyclist, Mateus de Souza Aguiar, was seriously injured in a collision near Palmital, São Paulo, when his Honda CG 160 FAN struck a GM Tracker on an old road beside the Paraná Panema River. The impact required amputation of his left leg above the knee, prompting a local blood‑donation campaign to support his treatment.

In a separate incident on the BR‑174 highway near Pontes e Lacerda, Mato Grosso, law student Guilherme Santos Freitas died after his Honda Biz collided head‑on with a Toyota SW4 traveling toward Rondônia. The crash dragged his motorcycle for about 40 metres, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite immediate emergency response.
