Two siblings killed in car rollover on TO-070 highway

Two siblings, identified as 26-year-old Beatriz Costa Azevedo and 27-year-old Atanael Costa Azevedo, died following a car rollover on the TO-070 highway in Brejinho de Nazaré, Tocantins. The accident occurred on Sunday while the vehicle was traveling from Gurupi toward Porto Nacional. According to the Public Security Secretariat, the driver lost control after hitting a roadside curb.

Three other passengers—a man, a woman, and a child—received medical attention at the scene. Beatriz was a legal resident at the Civil and Criminal Special Court of the Gurupi District. In response to the tragedy, the Court of Justice of Tocantins issued a note of condolence and announced the postponement of classes she was scheduled to attend.

Authorities were present at the site to manage traffic and conduct necessary procedures. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact causes of the crash.
