Two suspects arrested after $10,000 bank theft and chase in Fort Bend County, Texas

Police in Rosenberg, Texas arrested Larry Lendall Nicholson, 28, of Houston, and Courtland Courteze Martin, 32, of Humble, after they allegedly stole about $10,000 in cash from a 58‑year‑old victim. The suspects followed the victim to a Chase Bank and a Bank of America, then to a daycare at American Heritage Academy. Officers located their vehicle traveling north on U.S. Highway 59; when police attempted a stop the suspects fled, leading to a high‑speed pursuit that ended with a crash near Sweetwater Boulevard. Witnesses saw the two men run from the wreckage behind Sugar Land Baptist Church. A coordinated multi‑agency search located the suspects hiding in a nearby neighborhood, and several thousand dollars of cash were recovered.

Nicholson was charged with theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, a state‑jail felony, and was found to have three outstanding felony warrants in Louisiana. Martin faced the same theft charge plus a third‑degree felony for evading arrest with a motor vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
