Two suspects arrested in retaliatory Bay Bridge shooting
Two suspects, a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, have been identified in connection with a retaliatory shooting on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge that occurred on September 26.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Bay Bridge toll plaza. Investigators believe the shooting was a response to a physical altercation in San Francisco, after which the suspects allegedly pursued the victims onto the freeway and fired at their vehicle. One passenger sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
On October 8, officers served arrest and search warrants in Richmond and San Pablo. Olman Santiago Martinezaguilar, 19, of San Pablo, was arrested and a firearm was seized at his residence. He has been booked into Santa Rita Jail on charges including attempted murder and shooting at an occupied vehicle. The 15-year-old suspect from Richmond was already in custody for an unrelated matter.
