Two suspects detained over synthetic‑cannabinoid paper smuggling in North Cyprus

Police in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) raided the residences of M. H. A. (E‑24) and S. S. (E‑23) after receiving a tip that synthetic‑cannabinoid‑laden paper had been found in M. H. A.’s possession. In the ensuing searches, investigators seized four green sheets at M. H. A.’s home and three similar sheets at S. S.’s residence, all suspected of containing the drug.

Both men confessed to purchasing A4‑size paper impregnated with the substance for a total of 10,000 TL. The court ordered that each remain in detention for a period not exceeding one month while the investigation continues, noting that each has prior offenses related to similar crimes.
